The “Mine to Mill” (M2M) approach identifies the conditions needed to optimise financial performance of your mining operation and maximise the profitability and sustainabilityof your business. The JKMRC at The University of Queensland was directly involved in developing the “Mine to Mill” philosophy and has been implementing it to maximise operational profitability for industry clients for over fifteen years. Mining involves a series of operational stages managed independently of one another. Often we find that conditions required to optimise one stage are be counterproductive for performance in another stage and the whole operation. This workshop uses case studies from around the world to show how a coordinated Mine to Mill approach can provide benefits in terms of increased plant throughput, better energy efficiency and lower operating costs. The objective of this workshop is to show you how to set up the right level of communication between the mine and the mill, and enable them to jointly develop strategies that will maximise bottom line performance. The presenters explain the methodology and discuss critical actions to successfully implement a program in a way that can be sustained over time. The workshop presenters have implemented dozens of successful Mine to Mill programs over more than a decade.
